Abstract
This project aims to develop an application prototype that is able to generate playbacks of Brazilian music styles. The user will be able practice skills in improvisation, composition and arranging with the goal of increasing the palette of grooves that he or she is able to play and recognize. In order to facilitate the learning and practicing process, the software will offer the possibility to manipulate the tracks by changing their tempo and key. The featured instruments on the playbacks are piano, bass and drums and the styles for this prototype are two dances from Northeast of Brazil: Baião and Xote. In the future, more styles and interactions will be added and the goal is to transform this prototype into a product ready for the market.
