Abstract
The purpose of this project was to find artistic identity through compositions. Because of my background as a classical musician growing up in a non-musical family, composing had been a foreign subject. I believe that artistic identity is closely tied to compositions and the sonic atmosphere they create. In this project, I created nine compositions, through which, I discovered my artistic identity: Organic Electronic Indonesian Indie Music. I combine the elements of Indonesian Indie chords and melody, lyrics, acoustic instruments, combination of vocal and violin, electronic instruments, and electronic processing. The purpose of combining acoustic and electronic elements is to preserve and augment the natural element of the acoustic sound. This combination of genre created a new color that will contribute to the Indonesian music scene.
