Abstract
Over the course of 2023-2024, I’ve created the seeds for a global collective of music, The Liz Claire Collective, collaborating with musicians from diverse cultures and backgrounds. With a focus on music from America, India and the Middle East, we are building a repertoire of both traditional music, modern arrangements and original music. The body of work blends elements of each tradition, including improvisation, rag, maqam, and colorful harmony. La Cielo, my debut EP featuring The Liz Claire Collective, will be released this fall.
