Food for Thought: A Growing Palate

Abstract
Music is very similar to eating a meal. Listening is an occasion when we glean meaning from auditory stimuli, such as music. Going to see a concert is akin to going out to eat. The International Listening Association believes that “Listening: [is] the process of receiving, constructing meaning from, and responding to spoken and/or nonverbal messages”. Your ears are the key to experiencing music, similar to that is how the tongue is the key to experiencing food.
