Abstract
For my Culminating Experience I decided I wanted to delve deeper into the music of five Contemporary Gospel artists/composers – Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurklin, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, and Hezekiah Walker. These five artists have all had continuous success on the Gospel Billboard charts for the past 25-30 years and are all still releasing new music today; therefore, I believe they encompass the embodiment of the Contemporary Gospel sound.
