Abstract
My Culminating Experience consisted of serving as Head of A&R for Disrupción Records, with the goal of supporting the label’s imprint structure, artist development, scouting, signing decisions, and release planning. Across the project, I worked closely with sub-label leads, artists, and the executive team to guide artist conversations, clarify expectations, and help creative projects move toward structured release paths. As the year progressed, the role expanded beyond traditional A&R into wider label operations. I developed internal resources, managed open submissions, built project tracking systems, standardized asset delivery, supported communication across departments, and contributed directly to studio work, mixing, visual identity, marketing assets, and live event execution. The experience showed that A&R in an independent label depends on creative judgment, artist care, reliable systems, and shared accountability. It confirmed my interest in artist development and strengthened my ability to connect creative direction with practical execution.
