Abstract
The aim of this project is to create an Extended Play (EP) and a live performance centered in the genre of pop, with an additional goal of testing different techniques for vocal manipulation. The EP will focus especially on using electronic/experimental sounds and vocal processing and resampling while maintaining a pop song structure. The live performance will focus on creating a live performance setup with Ableton using the songs from the EP, electronic/digital instruments, and live vocals/vocal processing. It will offer viewers/listeners alternate versions of the songs from the EP, with cohesive transitions between each song for a unique, entertaining performance. The delivery of this project will include the 6 completed songs and a recorded live performance incorporating the songs from the EP.
