Abstract

The widespread availability of high-speed internet has significantly transformed music consumption, enabling listeners to enjoy music anytime and anywhere through portable devices. Modern albums are primarily distributed digitally, which has increased the importance of recording, mixing, and mastering engineers. In response, the author is focusing on the recording and mixing aspects of music production, creating a mixing engineering portfolio that aims to refine mixing techniques and develop a distinctive style. This portfolio will feature ten songs across various genres, achieved through collaborations with different musicians at the Berklee Valencia campus. It will serve as a platform for the author to explore diverse musical styles and the corresponding mixing and recording techniques. As the author transitions from a classical musician to a well-rounded audio engineer, the primary objective is to deliver professional-level mixes through dedicated practice and learning at Berklee Valencia.
