Abstract

RUSH: Audioreactive Experience of Memory and Nostalgia in Contemporary House Music RUSH is a conceptual house music album that integrates real time audioreactive visuals to examine the relation between memory and nostalgia through sound and motion. The project explores how electronic music can serve as both a temporal and emotional journey. Each composition is recorded, mixed and mastered by the author. The accompanying visuals, generated in response to an audio source, translate the music into visual patterns that represent the memory. Together, these components construct a story where the listener perceives cycles, a metaphor for purpose and existence. By merging audioreactive design with the aesthetic language of house music, RUSH reframes nostalgia not as regression but as an ongoing dialogue of recurrent memories. The project ultimately proposes a framework where electronic music becomes not only a medium of dance floor expression but also a reflective canvas for emotional resilience in a disconnected digital age.
