Abstract
My culminating experience is a three minute orchestral piece inspired by the book, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse, by Charlie Mackesy. It includes a reflective paper piecing together the narrative behind the music, uncovering the right theme and harmony to do it justice, exploring the colors of the orchestra and finally detailing how the final piece came to be. The piece incorporates the essential themes presented in the book, namely, fear, love and hope, and is an ode to following your instincts and forging your own path.
