Abstract
This dissertation explores the techniques, skills and mindset required to be able to marry music to picture in the most fitting way possible. The mindset and way of thinking is just as important as the technical skills as it will show what is the appropriate way to mentally approach, to many, a daunting task that is film scoring. No matter how motivated or inspired a person can be, it is a tough industry to be part of and the program is not afraid to announce that to its students. The paper will also go through an in-depth look into the compositional process in relation to the London recordings at AIR studios, and my personal approach to having a successful project overall due to the habits that I have developed across the entire academic year.
