Abstract
This written work records a description and analysis of the most important aspects of the 50+ orchestral piece "El Pescador" based on three paintings by Joaquín Sorolla, one of the most representative artists in Spain, whose 100th anniversary of death is commemorated this year. The works represented are: Going Out to Sea (1909), The Breakwater of San Sebastian (1915), Arrival of the Fishing Boats (1899). These paintings are recreated and articulated in a script proposed by the composer, in order to generate a musical work according to industry standars with a clear narrative full of emotion that pays homage to the prolific valencian artist, but that also evidence the learning process, preparation and a sample of the author's compositional style.
