Abstract
This thesis examines Peter Kam’s approach in applying Fado’s musical elements to his film score for ‘Isabella’ (2006) and the effectiveness of his score in relation to the context of the film. It is a study to examine approach in composing music to relate the content and emotion on the film. Also, it provides references for scoring film music in Fado or Portuguese music styles.
