Military Music Therapy at the Chelsea Soldier’s Home
Abstract
Resounding Joy, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in California that provides a variety of music therapy services to the community. Through their “Semper Sound Military Music Therapy Program,” Resounding Joy is able to meet the clinical needs of active duty, transitioning and veteran service members. This paper presents information on the “Semper Sound Band” model, created to provide continuity of care for service members who experienced frequent transfers and transitions between facilities and treatment programs.
