Abstract
Tarot cards have long been used as a tool for self-reflection and spiritual discovery. Andrew Hall, performing under the moniker Merry Andrew, has used tarot cards as inspiration for his music. He hopes that his songs will also be used as a tool for self-reflection by his listeners. His debut EP, The Fool, describes a journey into the unknown. The Fool does not quite know where he is going or how he will get there, but he forges ahead bravely. Merry Andrew’s upcoming EP, The Magician, tells the story of someone who is now in control. The Magician is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create the future he envisions. Andrew’s transformation from the Fool into the Magician happened during an amazing year at Berklee NYC. The Songwriting and Production program provided Andrew with the structure, tools, guidance, and inspiration necessary to take the next step in his musical journey.
