    [RE]:STRUCT

    Archit Agrawal
    2025

Like every compelling story, this one is anchored by a central character whose perspective guides us through the narrative and helps uncover deeper meaning along the way. In our show, that character is an invisible observer whose journey not only shapes the story but also reflects an internal search for identity and purpose. The narrative follows this presence as it attempts to take on an advanced physical form, drawing inspiration from the natural elements and textures that define life on Earth. It seeks to shape its identity through the very materials, patterns, and energies that make the planet so vibrant. It began as a presence without physical form or developed consciousness. From an unknown dimension, it observed the human world from a distance, deeply fascinated by the beauty of nature and the behaviors of Earth’s organic lifeforms. One day, a rare portal appeared, connecting its realm to Earth. Without hesitation, the entity stepped through and gained access to the planet’s organic elements, setting the stage for transformation. This new world revealed itself as a place shaped largely by water—a vital force that sustains nearly all life. Inspired by this element and the environment surrounding it, the visitor begins its journey. From this point forward, we call this new presence on Earth: BLU.

  • Solace by Gerasi Aizprua

    Solace

    Gerasi Aizprua
    2025

Once, in a quiet corner of the world — between soft songs and pages yet unwritten — Solace began to bloom. Solace is a woven work of music and story — five original songs and a fantasy novel-in-progress, both growing from the same thread of wonder and warmth. In this world, care takes many forms: the kindness of a mother, the gentleness of the earth, the strength of loyal hands, the quiet love of faith, and the fire that awakens when someone finally believes in their own light. Each song carries a flicker of that — a melody shaped by nature and feeling. I made this project for the ones who feel a little lost. The ones who carry too much softness in a world that doesn’t always make room for it. I hope these songs feel like a friend sitting beside you, reminding you that love still exists, that nature is watching over us, and that you are never meant to walk alone.

  • 3 AM by Carlos Alvarez Ascencio

    3 AM

    Carlos Alvarez Ascencio
    2025

The goal of my culminating experience “3 AM” was to capture the emotional weight of a specific hour.. When people tend to overthink and get delusional about certain things. As both a song and a concept, 3 AM reflects the psychological tension of the restless late-nights, heavily touching on mental health themes and exploring other things like insomnia, vulnerability, not being in a good place emotionally and wanting to get better. The project incorporates some sound design, modular synthesis, intimate vocal delivery, drum machines and textures. Rather than functioning just as a standalone track, 3 AM serves as the emotional centerpiece of the EP. Through its immersive atmosphere and symbolic use of time, this invites the listeners into a liminal space between night and morning. A space that feels isolating yet universally understood. In doing so, 3 AM becomes more than a song… It becomes a shared emotional experience and a reflection.

  • Angel's Playhouse by David Jayden Anthony

    Angel's Playhouse

    David Jayden Anthony
    2025

Angel’s Playhouse is an original musical that celebrates the heart, humor, and healing power of community theatre. The theatre is on the brink of collapse as we follow Lauren, a determined artistic director, and Jayden, a musical theatre writer, as they attempt to stage his deeply personal new musical with the help of Ms. Bea, a former Broadway diva with secrets of her own. As artistic and personal tensions rise, the characters must confront shame, legacy, and the bravery required to share your voice. Developed through the Berklee NYC Master’s program with ongoing dramaturgical feedback, Angel’s Playhouse explores queer identity, intergenerational mentorship, and the transformative power of making art in the face of adversity.

  • Bruises by Noor Awada

    Bruises

    Noor Awada
    2025

Feeling bruised from a relationship that ended poorly is a feeling many relate to. However, from bruises, we grow and heal from our tender aches and move on to new things, stronger than ever. This whole concept of healing from past experiences is captured in the music work, ‘Bruises’. Bruises is an EP that tells the long, complicated, and heartbreaking story of separating oneself from a broken relationship, and further more, moving on to a place of peace and acceptance. Touching on topics of relationships, love, and unrequited love, as well as mental health and self-retrospection, Noor shares the perspective of being affected by unhealthy relationships and the acknowledgement of wanting something better for yourself. This concept is carried through descriptive lyric and melodic writing.

  • Both Good and Bad by Ruihan Bao

    Both Good and Bad

    Ruihan Bao
    2025

Both Good and Bad is a five-song EP that reflects my emotional journey through themes of love, time, and self-discovery. The first three tracks explore different stages of a romantic relationship—uncertainty, connection, and eventual separation—while the final two songs shift toward introspection. “Time River” captures the anxiety of growing older and losing direction, and “Water Salute” offers a symbolic blessing to the future, inspired by the aviation ritual of the same name. Throughout the process, I composed all the music and lyrics, arranged the instrumentations, and recorded the songs using a hybrid of home and studio setups. I also played guitar and programmed rhythm sections, blending elements of R&B, pop, jazz, and country. Collaborating with fellow musicians, I refined each track through iterative feedback and session work. This project allowed me to deepen my understanding of harmonic development, songwriting structure, and production techniques. It represents not just a creative output, but also a personal milestone in my artistic growth.

  • Can't Read Her Mind by Hannah Berry

    Can't Read Her Mind

    Hannah Berry
    2025

‘Can’t Read Her Mind’ was inspired by the statement “I can’t read your mind” that she has heard throughout many different times in her life. After hearing the statement again a couple of months ago, It made her realise that possibly it’s true. Maybe it is quite hard to read her mind? After a bit of reflection, It was made clear that writing songs has been always been a therapy for her, telling all within the music compared to keeping her cards close to her chest in reality. Thus confirming the statement of how people can never read her mind. This then sparked inspiration for this project. A way to let people into her mind, if only for 27 minutes.‘Can’t Read Her Mind’ blends ethereal dream pop with glitch hyper pop to create its own world of dream glitch pop. This 9 track LP tells the stories of her concealed romantic feelings, conflicting emotions and the desire to break patterns from situations that she tends to find herself in.This project truly is the inside of Hannah Berry’s mind. This is a progression from her more dream pop led projects. Hannah has been able to retain her familiar self analytical lyrics, catchy melodies and dreamy atmosphere whilst being more experimental within her production, leaning more into the hype pop world.

  • just open your eyes by Shreya Bhagavatula

    just open your eyes

    Shreya Bhagavatula
    2025

It is easy to fall in the comfort of past memories and try to relive them. It is easy to get lost in the regrets of the past and feel the need to go back to the start and fix them. Similarly, it is easy to get swept away in planning out the future in hopes of avoiding the subsequent worries. In a world that is focused on moving forward so as to not be left behind, opening your eyes to the present and remaining rooted in this very moment is more valuable than anything. “just open your eyes” is a project rooted in the importance of being present. Featuring evocative songwriting uplifted by shoegaze-like “walls of sound” guitars, rhythms from breakbeat and traditional Indian instruments like the sitar and tabla, this body of work is a curated genre-blending EP portraying the journey of actively practicing this way of life.

  • Garden of the Asylum by Danying Cao

    Garden of the Asylum

    Danying Cao
    2025

Garden of the Asylum is a multi-disciplinary live music performance that merges music and visual storytelling. More than a tribute to Van Gogh’s art, it is an exploration of art, emotion, and the human psyche. As co-producers, we draw inspiration from Van Gogh’s emotional world, using music to retell his passion for artistic expression and the strong emotions that shaped his artworks and continue to resonate today. In an era of rapid change, more people experience similar psychological states. Through this performance, we seek to build a bridge where audiences do not merely observe art but engage with it on a personal level—seeing their own emotions reflected and experiencing how art becomes a medium for emotional connection and self-exploration. Using a garden as a metaphor, we envision Van Gogh’s emotions blooming like flowers in his mental landscape, taking form through music, visuals, and lighting. The performance unfolds in three interconnected movements—Solitude, Self-Doubt, and Paranoia—each led by a musician (JOSEPH, Jilly!, and Kéquetz) whose original compositions not only interpret Van Gogh’s emotions but also reflect their own artistic and personal experiences. Each section begins with a visual or soundscape piece, serving as a transition that immerses the audience in the upcoming emotional state. The stage design integrates scrim projection, multi-layer lighting, and immersive soundscape, enhancing the emotional depth of the performance.

  • Sinner Saint by Antonio Carrillo

    Sinner Saint

    Antonio Carrillo
    2025

At Berklee NYC, students all developed a culminating experience project (CE), and his is called Sinner Saint. Initially facing creative uncertainty, social anxiety, and imposter syndrome, he struggled to find his artistic direction. A breakthrough at the end of the first semester led him to shift toward a more experimental electronic sound. The project’s unique cohesive sound, one he has dubbed “digital mysticism,” emerged from deliberate experimentation with granular synthesis, distorted synths, autotuned emo-inspired vocals, and immersive storytelling. Throughout this process, he significantly enhanced his technical skills. He expanded his abilities in sound design and vocal arranging. He developed visual assets such as music videos. The project demanded he navigate intense emotional and creative challenges, ultimately leading him to embrace authenticity over fitting external expectations. Looking forward, he has a planned release schedule for the EP that includes live shows, marketing tests, and opportunities to build a community around the project. This rollout reflects a growing commitment to pairing his creative work with sustainable promotional strategies. This year taught him resilience, reinforced his creative instincts, and prepared him for a sustainable and authentic artistic future, confidently blending my technical capabilities with a deeply personal creative vision.

    Joseph Chanin-Meiers
    2025

From Bricks, to Roses & Cubes explores an artist’s mind trapped in grief, isolation, and substance use. Heavily inspired by visual art, Joseph's culminating project started at the MET while looking at some paintings. He scribbled down his thoughts, and took them home to write the story using his preferred outlet, music. The project consists of 5 songs selected from 3 separate EPs: Blue Bricks, Roses, & Cubism. Inspired by the likes of Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, The Alchemist, and more, Joseph’s unique take on Hip Hop carves his own space for reflection, and leaves room for potential growth. Joseph’s release cycle begins July 2025, with his debut single Roses. Accompanied by the single will be a minisite gallery experience, and a lyric video filmed in Studio G at Powerstation. He hopes to continue his pursuit of building community by combining art forms with his music, and looks forward to releasing the music!

  • World Collapse by Bill Cheng

    World Collapse

    Bill Cheng
    2025

World Collapse is a five-track concept EP and multimedia experience created by Jingyao “Bill” Cheng during his M.A. in Songwriting & Production at Berklee NYC. Sparked by escalating war and natural-disaster headlines, the project fuses cinematic hip-hop, metal, ambient glitch, balladry, and traditional Chinese instruments—including pipa, guzheng, and yangqin—to trace humanity’s search for hope amid devastation. The different stories from songs, Distortion-versus-fragility contrasts, Auto-Tune, and seismic 808 build the tracks into a “film in sound” that aims to dissolve linguistic and cultural boundaries while rebuilding trust through art. Cheng wrote, produced, and mixed all music, directed five lyric videos, painted the cover art, and designed NFC-enabled merch that extends the narrative beyond stereo speakers. A staggered rollout from September 2025 through May 2026 will unveil each single with complementary glitch-art visuals, inviting listeners into an evolving cross-media meditation on collapse and renewal.

Inner Peace aims to connect with listeners on a deeply personal level, offering both groove and space for emotional reflection. This project serves as a culmination of my artistic growth and technical development throughout my studies.

  • Moments by Peter Choi

    Moments

    Peter Choi
    2025

It is impossible to remember the totality of time - instead, our memories fixate on specific moments, fragmented sections that hold special meaning. When listening to music, the same is true - rarely does one remember every nuanced detail of even the simplest of songs. Instead, we remember moments: interesting harmonic gestures, soaring melodies, powerful lyrics. This EP, aptly titled Moments, is the culmination of Peter’s own life experiences, distilled into five tracks that leave the listener with a new set of memorable sonic shards; moments that surprise, moments that excite, moments that move. The project is a showcase of what the scholar refers to as “emotional dance music,” a coin termed to describe the amalgamation of the storytelling of singer-songwriter genres with the rhythmic idiosyncrasies and textural palette of electronic dance music. Focusing on intimate vocal performance and dense, complex supporting background vocal harmonies, Moments takes the listener on a journey through the sounds of genres such as drum and bass, house, and UK garage while keeping lyricism front and center.

    Nicholas De Bellis
    2025

A five-track EP serves as the basis of his Culminating Experience. Through extensive coursework in the music business, recording engineering, mixing, and songwriting, Nicholas was able to craft a body of work that successfully represented a unique and cohesive sound that takes a framework of alternative rock and fuses it with lush harmonies, expansive string and synth instrumentation, and a dynamic vocal performance to make a sound all his own. He was able to navigate through several expected and unexpected challenges in the program like moving to a new city and adapting to the rigorous cadence of the coursework. He plans to release three singles over the course of the next 4 months following his graduation, leading up to the release of his full EP in early December. Moving forward, Nicholas feels ready to embark on a career in music as a songwriter and producer, both for his own artist project and for collaborations with others.

  • Fleeing Eastward 向东逃 by Junjie Deng

    Fleeing Eastward 向东逃

    Junjie Deng
    2025

"Fleeing Eastward" is a journey of escape that begins deep within—not driven by fear, but by a longing for truth, self, and belonging. In a world overwhelmed by speed and noise, we choose to turn eastward—toward the rising sun, toward ancient and gentle voices, toward a home not yet defined. This five-track EP, created by Jacky for his duo band WuLinG (捕鱼人), blends elements of 80s R&B, pop, electronic, Chinese traditional folk, and world music. Seen through an Eastern lens and shaped by the emotional landscape and collective memories of a younger generation, the EP explores the inner world and emotional map of a musical traveler. Each song marks both an arrival and a farewell. This is Jacky’s first conceptual project with WuLinG, beyond prior singles, and a bold step forward in shaping his personal artistic identity.

  • Arise by Diji Diallo

    Arise

    Diji Diallo
    2025

This project is the culmination of each mindset of a man who wanted to be better, showcasing the growth, struggle, consistency, and shifts, whilst utilizing playful rhyme and soulful delivery to do so. I cast you into a world filled with faith, perseverance, and despair, amongst other emotions, as I convey the journey from New Orleans to Boston, and eventually New York, trying to reach Berklee College of Music NYC, after previously not making it in. I navigate the rejection I internalized with style through an encapsulating array of orchestral, afro, and hip-hop elements, bringing listeners into my world of experimental hop to show what it truly means to "Arise" above one’s problems, expectations, and restrictions. Which was also supported with the cover art I created for each of the 5 songs within my culminating experience, a music video for a single song, and a journey video showcasing some of the moments archived throughout my time at Berklee College of Music NYC.

  • RE:STRUCT by Jonas Dobbelaere

    RE:STRUCT

    Jonas Dobbelaere
    2025

RE:STRUCT, a term to encompass restructuring, reinvention, evolution, in the broadest sense of its meaning. From personal development to the birth and death of a star, this eternal cycle of the way every single thing in this world restructures itself and evolves. This is what I am representing with the body of work I created for my culminating experience project. Reflecting on my own personal development throughout the creation process, but also everything that came before. How every past decision has led to this point in time. How we all restructure our surroundings, influence our family and friends, take action to make a change, or decide not to. How every action chains us together and influences one another. This project was a way to challenge myself on a technical and personal level and represents my growth as a person, but also as a producer throughout this year, and all that came before it.

  • Find Me by Igor Egholm

    Find Me

    Igor Egholm
    2025

Production is the reason I got into music, and it remains at the core of everything I make. My goal with this project was to create something minimal yet emotionally expansive—drawing from artists like Frank Ocean, Brent Faiyaz, and Kanye West, who blur the lines between rapping and singing. The album explores themes of looking ahead, personal growth, and reflection, across six tracks including an interlude that showcase my artistic range. My sound—what some listeners at my recent listening party called “OCD stadium music”—is defined by melancholic textures, rich low-end, off-the-grid drums, and cello. I aim for raw honesty in my lyrics, often reflecting on past experiences to better understand who I am now. Vocal production is a key part of my sound, with recurring techniques like stacked, choir-like ad-libs helping build a cinematic atmosphere. Visually, I’m intentional about aesthetic cohesion. My main color palette of green and purple was carefully chosen to reflect the emotional tone of the project. From the cover art to the listening party poster, every visual element was designed to mirror the sonic world I created.
