Abstract
When a fading Hollywood star Marlise Mattox is framed for murder, she must join forces with her obsessive fan, Arnold Berman, to clear her name and solve the crime. Set in the nostalgic 1950s Hollywood, our characters are so obsessed with movies, they no longer know what’s real. Arnold believes cinema is “better than real life.” Marlise has become the role the studio cast her in; perfect, glamorous, and utterly manufactured. But when the lights fade and the set collapses, what’s left? As their lives unravel, they must confront the truth behind the camera, and decide whether to run from it or finally let it in. Would they rather live the truth, or a technicolor lie?
