Tiantian Hu - CE Project

Abstract
This reflection paper documents my culminating experience as Head of Sync & Neighboring Rights at Disrupción Records, a student-run label at Berklee Valencia. The project focused on building a structured sync workflow from the ground up, including catalog preparation, artist onboarding, metadata management, outreach to music supervisors, and exploration of the Asian market. Through hands-on practice, I established a repeatable sync process while also gaining clarity about my professional direction. Although the project helped me develop practical industry skills, it also revealed that my true passion lies in A&R and creative development rather than sync representation. This paper reflects on what I built, what I learned, and how this experience guided me toward a more aligned career path.
