Abstract

This project consisted of three live video performances of the author's original Neo-soul and hip-hop EP. Utilizing Ableton Live, external controllers, real instruments, and vocals, the goal was to produce a commercially viable project for touring and promotion. The performances, recorded for the project's final presentation, showcased the methodologies and techniques of electronic live performance. The main challenge was effectively using Ableton Live to manage tasks such as controllerism, live playing, singing, and audience interaction. The author addressed this innovatively by leveraging current technologies and developing new performance methodologies throughout the project.
