Abstract
This project aims to compose, perform and record a six-song Extended Play (EP) that explores themes of sustainability, climate change, affection, attachment, sexuality, and peace over violence. Drawing inspiration from genres such as Nueva Canción, Rock, Folk, Latin American music, Andino-Latin rhythms, Blues, Funk, and Nu Jazz. The project seeks to create music that not only entertains but also carries a conscious message and the intention to provoke reflection on critical issues. At the same time an experimental process regarding recording engineering is conducted through the use of the studios (AKSS and STAD) and gear available at Berklee Valencia to achieve a desired sound for the EP.
